What's happening this week in the Kusini Collection:

This is the ultimate bush & beach combo!
Albatros East Africa: If your clients need a nudge to get to East Africa, Albatros Travel has the ticket to get them off the fence. They have released a set of four 9-day itineraries combining Lemala Camps and The Manta Resort (each includes one night in the Underwater Room!) with availability ranging between June and December of this year. With non-commissionable NET rates starting at just $4,553, this is truly an unbeatable deal! Email us for detailed itineraries so you can see what will work best for your travelers, then contact Juliet for availability and to book.

The views from Sossus Under Canvas are absolutely epic
Ultimate Safaris: Wedding bells will soon be ringing for the latest royal couple, but we're more excited about the honeymoon. It seems the newlyweds will be spending their celebratory holiday in Namibia! They'll be just in time for the opening of three new lodges - Ultimate Safaris' Sossus Under Canvas, Shipwreck Lodge, and Hoanib Valley Camp - each bringing a very different offering to the tourism scene in the Namib Desert, the Skeleton Coast and Kaokoland. The lodges offer something different for everyone - good for campers, wildlife enthusiasts or families - and above all, they offer the exclusivity and privacy that Namibia is known for.

Travel Ethiopia has taken the pledge
Travel Ethiopia: Travel Ethiopia has become the latest tour operator to join TAP - Travelers Against Plastic. Their pledge means that they will promote sustainable travel and encourage travelers to avoid buying bottled water. In addition, Travel Ethiopia will provide their travelers the proper information they need to treat their own drinking water when applicable. This augments Travel Ethiopia's other conservation programs, including their tree planting initiative, which has resulted in more than 300,000 trees being planted in various local communities affected by deforestation and erosion.

Enjoying a little unstructured time on the deck of the
Underwater Room
The Manta Resort: Anyone can look at the gorgeous photographs of The Manta Resort and its famed Underwater Room and long to go there. On a recent visit to the Pemba Island resort, Sonya experienced many of Manta's elements that simply can't be captured on camera. She found her stay to be an experience for the soul - it was both nurturing and inspiring. Life at Manta flows in time with the natural rhythms of the island. Sonya recommends leaving plenty of unstructured time to let things happen as they will! Visit the blog to see some of her trip highlights.

Do you know the best transfer option for your clients?
New Frontiers: The New Frontiers supertrio of Craig, Faith and Sally recently spent time in and  around Vic Falls, Hwange and Kariba exploring new product. Watch the Agent Zone for updates on the new Bumi Hills in Kariba, properties on both sides of the Falls and alternative options Matobo NP. With the increase in visitors into VFA comes longer immigration lines, which makes it imperative that transfers are as seamless as possible. Sally Moon has updated the indispensable VF/Livingston transfers document - please take the time to read and request the most appropriate transfer for your clients.

Mashpi Lodge is fun for the whole family!
Tropic Ecuador: Mashpi Lodge isn't much more than a stone's throw from Quito, but it's a world away. Guests can hike through pristine wilderness, enjoy delicious meals and find adventures that allow for learning and for families to grow closer. Tropic Ecuador GM Jascivan Carvalho recently visited with his family and the kids had a blast! They loved being in the forest, including flying high in the treetops on the "dragonfly.' They were also wild about the Jacuzzi - it goes to show that you never know what will excite kids... Contact Andrea for more information and availability.
