Conservation Travel from Kaskazini to Kusini

Ultimate Safaris' guests participate in the collaring process on their
Giraffe Conservation Safari

We are proud to represent a portfolio of owner-operated camps, lodges and ground handlers that believe conservation sits at the core of everything they do. Over the next two weeks, we're sharing conservation travel stories from our partners around the globe, from Kaskazini (north in Swahili) to Kusini (south in Swahili)! Read on to learn more...

Imvelo Safari Lodges: Imvelo Safari Lodges and some of their partners in conservation are up to all sorts of good again. A guest captured great images of the Ngamo wild dog pack during a drive, which allowed him to discover one of the pack members was injured and had a snare around its neck! He immediately advised head guide Sibs, who contacted the teams at Painted Dog Conservation (PDC) and Dete Animal Rescue Trust (DART). They were able to quickly locate the injured dog, dart it, remove the snare and treat the wound while Imvelo guests looked on and learned about the process. It's not the first time Imvelo guests have been involved in a conservation success story for Hwange's wild dogs. Read the whole account here!

Guests on TOSEA's Volunteer Adventure week can have fun
and make a difference!
Todos Santos Eco Adventures: Bryan and Sergio Jauregui built Todos Santos Eco Adventures with mindfulness - respecting local communities and environments alike. It's no wonder they've created strong relationships with local organizations that share similar values, which, in turn, allows your guests to have a fun and impactful getaway to Baja California Sur. Join sea turtle camp with Asupmatoma, teaching English at the Palapa Society, and support health improvement projects with SINADES. (Oh, and surfing, whale sharks, cooking class, hiking, and relaxing!) This six day itinerary is perfect for travelers looking to have a great time and make a difference. Contact Bryan or Sonya for details.

New Frontiers:
The Wildlife Conservation Experience is great for families
(min age 5)
New Frontiers
can put your conservation-minded travelers in the thick of the fight to protect the worlds' iconic species! Their 3-night Wildlife Conservation Experience is ideal for those with a passion for wildlife, and serves to educate and inspire. Participants have the chance to work side-by-side with wildlife professionals on a rhino darting operation. The hands-on conservation activities on this special safari in KwaZulu Natal gives your guests yet another incentive to add KZN to a Cape-to-Kruger safari. The safari directly funds the cause, giving guests boasting rights that they have been a vital part of a conservation success story.

CRST has achieved a 5 leaf rating from the Costa Rican
government
Costa Rica Sun Tours: For thirty years, owner/operator, John Aspinall and the incredible crew at Costa Rica Sun Tours (CRST) have paved the way of responsible travel in Costa Rica. Costa Rica Sun Tours has achieved a 5 Leaf rating - the highest possible - through the Costa Rican government's sustainability program. This is a major achievement and CRST is one of the first tour operators to attain this rating. This program was designed to differentiate businesses in the tourism industry based on the level at which they comply with a sustainable model of natural, cultural and social resource management. Read more about CRST's other sustainability efforts and partnerships - and ask us how you can be part of it!
