Cape Grace to refub pool and conservatory area

From the Cape Grace team. . .

We are delighted to announce that we are about to embark upon an exciting new development at Cape Grace.

With Cape Town positioned as the World Design Capital for 2014, Cape Grace has once again commissioned the designers who created the refashioned look of Cape Grace to transform our pool and conservatory area during the upcoming winter months.

This project will create additional seating in Signal Restaurant, an exclusive function area and enhance the outdoor area to provide a more luxurious experience for our guests.

The comfort and satisfaction of our guests at this time remains paramount. In order to ensure as little disruption as possible, we have taken the following steps:

Construction work will be limited to the period between 11h00 and 17h00 daily. This will ensure that the breakfast service remains undisturbed and that work will take place when the majority of guests are away from the hotel enjoying sightseeing and pre-planned activities.
Contractors who have been appointed have specific knowledge of the luxury hotel industry and will be unobtrusive.
The construction area will be suitably covered with esthetically appealing materials.
Construction will commence mid June and be finalised by September.
Our Food and Beverage outlets will be affected during these hours, with, Signal Restaurant, Bascule and possibly the Library Terrace being closed for lunch. All kitchens will remain fully functional during the period and in-room dining will be available. We will also assist in making alternative day-time arrangements for guests to experience fine Cape cuisine at other local restaurants.

As a gesture of goodwill, Cape Grace will be offering all guests staying over this period, one of the following complimentary experiences:

• A three course a la carte dinner in Signal Restaurant
• A 30 Minute Spa Treatment at the Cape Grace Spa
• A Cape Town City Sightseeing bus tour
• Two Oceans Aquarium access
• A Table Mountain Cable Way round trip

We would like to assure you that the utmost consideration and care has gone into the planning of this enhancement and that the guest experience remains our primary focus for the duration of the project. We will continue to send you regular updates on our progress.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding in this regard and look forward to revealing a refreshed sense of place for which Cape Grace is renowned.
