Security update from Classic Africa Safaris on DRC and Rwanda - Updated December 5th.

While we are still awaiting updates and an official statement from the Rwanda Development Board, CAS feels it is important to notify our trade partners that travelers from a variety of countries have been gorilla trekking in Rwanda in Volcanoes National Park all week. Additionally, CAS has American travelers in-country now who have chosen to continue with their travel plans in Rwanda and gorilla trek. Reports on the ground and from Rwanda Tour and Travel Association (RTTA) are that trekking is continuing normally and security is high in the area. As we learn more, we will keep you apprised of the situation via email, here on our blog and via Twitter and Facebook.

Please note that the US Embassy's Security Message for American travelers from December 3, 2012 has not been updated and still stands.

Should you have any questions, please contact Phil Ward at Classic Africa Safaris or the Kusini Collection.
