Uganda: As of July 1, 2011 chimp permits in Kibale Forest have been raised to $150 per person, per trek. Park entrance fees have increased to $35 per person per 24-hour stay.

Rwanda: There are 2 new gorilla groups open for tourist trekking as of August 1, 2011. At the moment, we don't have further specific details on the groups. With the addition of the two groups, this means that there are now an additional 16 permits her day. There are now a total of 10 gorilla groups available for trekking in Rwanda (80 permits).
