Uganda Lodges: Kyambura Safari Lodge

The Kyambura Gorge is home to habituated chimpanzees and is an exciting and challenging place to trek for chimps. The Gorge is situated on the Eastern side of Queen Elizabeth National Park. It spans a distance of 16 km and at its deepest is 100m deep. The Gorge is home to chimps, other primate species and both forest and plains bird species. Classic Africa Safaris recommends trekking at Kyambura Gorge in the morning and the trek is suggested for more active travelers as the trails are often rather steep trails coming out of the Gorge. The views of the region are also quite impressive.

Kyambura Game Lodge is a new luxury lodge situated on the eastern edge of Queen Elizabeth National Park with stunning views over the park and Kyambura Gorge. The lodge has been built using environmentally friendly local materials. Accommodation is provided in 8 spacious and tastefully decorated self-contained grass-thatched cottages. Each cottage is privately located and has a lovely wooden balcony from which the diversity of wildlife in the park can be viewed and enjoyed. The lodge also has a beautiful swimming pool and campfire around which local traditional dancers will entertain you as you relax after the day’s activities. The restaurant and lounge area open towards a sundowner deck overlooking the park. The perfect place to enjoy the sunset with the drink of your choice.
