Updates on Botswana camps

Earlier this week the Kusini Collection met with Walter Smith of Desert & Delta and Paul Moleseng of Ker & Downey Botswana. Walter gave us some great updates on refurbs at the Desert & Delta camps of Botswana and Paul talked about Ker & Downey Botswana's Young Explorer's program (stay tuned for more information on that). Both Desert & Delta and Ker & Downey Botswana are partners of New Frontiers Tours.

Ask your New Frontiers consultant how to include D&D or K&D camps in your client's safari itinerary.

Camp refurb updates from Desert & Delta:

Xugana Island Lodge will undergo a total refurb, including extending the decks on each room, main lodge deck and the fabrication of a jetty system for arrival at camp by boat.

Chobe Game Lodge underwent substantial refurbs on the 4 suites with the addition of rim flow swimming pools, tile floors and structural work on the main lodge. The lodge is accredited by the Botswana Tourism board as Green+ eco accredited.

Chobe Savanna Lodge is going to close now through July 1 water levels are very high, D&D will wait for water to come through then the camp will undergo a refurb.

Savute Safari Lodge is currently closed, the camp is being reconfigured and two new rooms will be built facing the channel. The camp will still have 12 rooms total, but 2 garden suites are being changed over to management and staff quarters. New softs in all rooms, as well.

Camp Moremi is maintenance closure/Camp Okavango with maintenance and thatch reburb.
