Uganda Lodges - Gorilla Forest Camp, Bwindi

Uganda's Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp is located in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the Buhoma area. It is an ideal base for gorilla trekking, cultural activities and forest walks. There are three gorilla families in the Buhoma area with 8 permits per gorilla family available to trekkers daily (additional families are being habituated at this time). Classic Africa Safaris recommends two days of gorilla trekking and three nights at Gorilla Forest Camp (a stop and overnight will be made at Mihingo Lodge in each direction between Entebbe and Bwindi).

Gorilla Forest Camp is exclusively located within the lush rain forests of Bwindi Impenetrable
National Park. Designed to blend seamlessly into the fragile environment, accommodation is offered in eight large tents, raised on wooden platforms, each with en suite bath room (shower, flush toilet) and the unique and luxurious bathtub overlooking the forest. Each tent has a large wooden deck where guests can relax or enjoy private dining.

The tents are exceptionally spacious inside and have two queen-sized beds with headboards carved by local Ugandan artists. The Gorilla Forest Camp offers a central bar and dining cottage overlooking the rain forest, as well as a raised platform for open-air dining. At night, a traditional African campfire is lit - guests gather to relax with a drink, reflect on their days' activities or admire the brilliance of the clear night sky.
