Honeymooning - South Africa Style!

South Africa is arguably one of the most romantic honeymoon destinations in the world - amazing food and wine, remote and luxurious accommodations and some of the best wildlife in Africa. Start with Cape Town and the winelands, add a romantic adventure at Grootbos Nature Reserve and pair with a wildlife experience in the Sabi Sand or Madikwe and you've designed an ideal honeymoon getaway for your clients! New Frontiers Tours has come up with a shortlist of South Africa honeymoon must-dos! Ask your New Frontiers consultant to include any (or all!) of these must-dos in your next honeymoon itinerary.

1) Special honeymoon treatment throughout the trip!

Room upgrades if available, romantic turn-down with rose petals, wine (depending on accommodation), private dinners/breakfasts and more! Just let your New Frontiers consultant know that your clients are on their honeymoon!

2) Dinner at one of Franschhoek's top restaurants, The Tasting Room:

The serious business of fine dining at Le Quartier has been set
apart and defined by The Tasting Room. Course after course of exquisitely presented culinary delights showcase chef Margot Janse and her team's award-winning talent. The Worlds 50 Best Restaurants 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 - Restaurant Magazine UK. This is the ultimate in a romantic meal!

4) A private specialist guide and wine tastings at the winelands top wine estates:

Guests can visit La Motte, Moreson, Mont Rochelle and others for wine tasting, lunch and touring. Luxury Mercedes van or SUV, private guide and special treatment throughout the day!

5) Scenic overflight at Grootbos Nature Reserve:

Soar over the beautiful coastline, shipwrecks and vineyards near Grootbos. In season, up to 140 Southern right whales can be spotted from the air below in Walker Bay. This is a memory honeymooners will keep for years to come!

6) Sleep-out at Lion Sands (see photo, left):

A special treat during your clients' stay at Lion Sands: an overnight in a luxurious treehouse built around a majestic 500 year old Leadwood tree, complete with all the home comforts. Your clients will be taken to the treehouse at sunset, where drinks and a delicious picnic dinner await. Enjoy the hours of African dusk relaxing and absorbing the beauty and sounds of the bushveld as it transforms from day to night, before turning in for slumber beneath the stars. As dawn breaks, your clients will be collected by their ranger for a morning game drive, followed by a delicious bush breakfast at one of the many animal and bird hides.
